This original song is about the 1973 film, 'The Wickerman' directed by Robin Hardy. My Dad wrote it as he is a big fan of the film and asked me to lay some drums down on it. I did, and now this is another song to go on my upcoming solo album, 'Rat- The Collection'.As you may know the film is about a police officer who goes to a strange island in search of a missing girl who the locals say never existed. As the film progresses the policeman sees more and more of the strange rituals performed by the locals and eventually he is burned in one of them- inside a giant effigy made of wicker along with other human and animal sacrifices.So anyway, that's the basis of this song, and when you watch it you'll see it has sound effects from the movie as well. Again my Dad's singer is performing lead vocals so thanks to her for that.
