This is a personal reply to IHRA's Mr. Peaco and San Antonio Raceway's (S.A.R.) Staff & employees. Hello, My name is Ernest Zamora Jr, I am here to make a formal apology to both San Antonio Raceway's staff and employes, and to Skooter Peaco, for the unauthorized use of both Current and Vintage IHRA logo's, I respectfully understand your disappointments on the issues that were once talked about, while at the mean time other fans, and my self are also disappointed on lack of informative advertisements that where given for the past event. My goal was to grab the attention of IHRA, and Live Nation, to make sure they let the fans know on particular event they were attending, by saying it on there radio, and TV ads that are made. As I speak today, I have gotten in contact with Mr. Peaco, saying that I have been banned from All IHRA tracks until further notice. While I do not know if this is a personal attack, or a legal attack; One of the things i regret is not being able to record the opinions of race attendees at the event in question, if they knew if it was advertised as a 1/4 or 1/8 mile and from what we've seen and heard in those advertisements, it was NEVER advertised as a 1/8 mile special event. Now for those of you whom have lived in south texas from the days of Double Eagle Dragstrip, Austin Raceway park, Alamo Dragway, and San Antonio Raceway, everyone who's been to those events knows at least how far is a 1/4 pass is, so it was evident that during the event people where asking "why where the cars shutting off early?" Unfortunately it didn't occur to me at the time to record there comments as such. In closing, I would like to correct Mr. Peaco in his comment about how NASCAR never advertises the lengths of there tracks, there was a great comment on San Antonio Raceway's web-forum just before i had gotten banned from it, and the topic removed at the request of ether Mr. Peaco or S.A.R. staff, I dont know; however this person bring up that NASCAR DOSE in fact advertise how long there events are, and example, ever hear of the Daytona 500? What's the 500 stand for? 500 Miles. Auto Club 500? 500 miles again. Food City 500? while not in Miles, its 500 laps. Even though NASCAR advertises the lengths of there races, there not always on the mark, and example the Subway Fresh Fit 500, it was only 312 laps, with 312 miles, but the people who attend those races know already know that. Thats why my plea to Mr. Peaco, IHRA, and Live Nation is to properly inform race fans of the changes if a certain track and race community is accustomed to 1/4 races on television and radio advertisements. If Mr. Peaco, IHRA, and Live Nation, want to continue this legal issue, that is there choice, I've spoken what was the real issue to begin with. I look forward to any comments about this issue. Thank you.
